Have you been waiting to find out when the 2011 grants deadlines for Oakland arts funding well be posted? Well, the deadlines for applications for arts funding from the City of Oakland have just been posted and the applications uploaded--The last day is May 19, 2011 and the llnks are right here.

Individual Artist Project
The Individual Artist Project grant program supports Oakland resident individual artists producing art activities in Oakland that culminate in a local public outcome for the benefit of the community. Such activities may include, but are not limited to, preformances of dance, music or theater, classes or workshops, exhibits and literary activities.

Organization Project
The Organization Project grant program supports Oakland-based nonprofit organizations producing art activities in Oakland that culminate in a local public outcome for the benefit of the community. Such activities may include, but are not limited to: performances in dance, music or theater, classes and workshops, exhibits and literary activities

Art in the Schools
The Art in the Schools grant program exposes young people in Oakland public schools to quality, hands-on arts experiences in a school setting to educate them about the process of creating and producing arts. Funds support arts residencies on the school site before, during or after school hours wherein there is a long-term, in-depth interaction between professional artists and an ongoing group of students.

schedule a private consultation.

March 22, 2011 3 – 4pm Hearing Room 3

Art in the Schools:
March 22, 2011 4:30 – 5:30pm Hearing Room 3

Individual Artist Project:
March 22, 2011 6 – 7pm Hearing Room 3

Meetings are at Oakland City Hall, 1 Frank Ogawa Plaza (at Broadway & 14th Street), downtown Oakland.
