Love Letter to North Oakland: Photo essay

Do you have those days when everything around you seems charged with some extra meaning--or additional beauty-- that makes your heart stop for a second?  Are there moments when the familiar streets and usual houses suddenly reveal hidden beauty? That's kind of how I felt when Jess Watson shared her photo series Love Letter to North Oakland with me.  This collection of photos--of street art, found objects, a dead animal-seems like a very personal story about the place she lives, and loves, and worth sharing on OL.

Do you have a photo set about a art of the city that's meaningful to you? Please share with editor@oaklandlocal.com.
