During last census, less human population expansion



There has been less population expansion in the United States then before. AOL News reports this to be seen within the 2010 Census. Since 2000, there has only been a 9.7 percent human population growth of about 308,745,538 individuals. The growth rate was the lowest since the Great Depression. Michigan actually lost 0.6 percent while Nevada grew the most at 35.1 percent. The Northeast states grew only about 3.2 percent while Southern states had a 14.3 percent increase.



Democrats see problems with gains



Mostly republicans will be filling the gains within the House seats. Republican strongholds are in most areas with House seat gains. Texas is certainly included in this. Since the last census, Texas increased its human population by 20 percent which is where a huge human population boom came from. There were several seats lost too. Most of these were in Democratic areas historically.
